Hey there,
Today, I want you to join the best side of life. The soft living. The nonchaotic drama-free life. This side of life is serene, calm, and non-toxic. Your thoughts are clean, your heart is sound, and you radiate optimism.
Here, you put in a deliberate effort to be a good person for yourself and those around you. You see things and people from a place of love and understanding. No judgments, no tongue-lashing. Just love and softness for yourself, everyone, and everything.
This side of life anchors on self-love and awareness. You consciously build your mind and body to support others while you care for yourself and your values. You understand that self-love and care are essential, but you don’t hurt others in the cause of it. You take accountability for your actions and practice ‘gentle forgiveness’ for your misdeeds and the misdeeds of others.
Here there’s empathy and compassion. A lot of it. You stand firm in humanity, which seems so rare now. You render your smile and shoulder as comfort for others. Even on days that don’t seem bright for you, you don’t let negativism take over.
I call this type of living “light.” You illuminate rooms with your kindness and softness. Your calm aura and demure essence make statements before your words do. In your presence, there’s hope and laughter. Warmth and ease.
You seek grace, render grace, and encourage grace. You heal the world in every moment of consideration you extend.
On this side, you’re well-rested. Mentally and physically, you conserve your energy for what truly matters. You understand that both good and bumpy days are aligning for you.
Yes, life comes with many emotions, but being on the soft life train, you don’t allow your emotions to go loose and linger in places bound to be misinterpreted. You balance your emotions and refuse to let them poison and control your heart and choices.
On this train, you don’t hesitate to clap for others as you wish and pray for your blessings. You sincerely hope that the joy lasts in their hearts while you wait for your turn.
You’re focused on learning, unlearning, and deriving lessons from every piece of your growth.
Living a soft life means embracing peace, ease, and emotional control over conflict and shallow-mindedness.
It means making it a life mission to hide the faults of others even if your ego is so desperate to point at them.
It means allowing people to evolve and grow without putting them down, making them feel small, or tying them down to their past mistakes.
It means understanding that you’re just a tiny piece of the world that can be eliminated at any moment so you resolve to make an impact rather than carrying an air of condescension.
It means staying true to your morals even when the world comes crumbling on you.
It means seeing people as they appear to be and not listening to what others portray them to be.
It means you don’t overbear people. You leave your opinions open and let others own their own. You see boundaries and respect them wholeheartedly.
And most importantly, soft life means knowing and embracing yourself in every sense and depth. Allowing yourself to evolve and grow freely.
You see, my dear reader, attaining this softness is not easy. No. Life also doesn’t get smooth once you’ve reached this mindset. No. It is a nonstop game of adds and drops on your character and values. You’re constantly working on yourself. Building and rebuilding the core of who you are. You have to make deliberate choices to be and stay on this path of light. The good news is you can start making those choices today. It’s never too late to hop on this train of warmth and sensitivity.
It is also important to point out that the strength of softness goes beyond being liked by others. In fact, the most important subject on this train is yourself. You can only extend love to others when you’ve attained self-acceptance. You can only sidestep other people’s flaws when you’ve embraced yours. And yes! You can only extend grace and softness to others when you’ve practiced them on yourself. Simply, you reflect what you are.
By now, you should understand that achieving a fulfilling life, one filled with ease and a light heart, requires a significant amount of personal growth and prayer. I urge you to begin this journey of self-work today.
Little by little you can imbibe acts of kindness and softness in routine. Text an old friend. Feed your neighbor’s cat. Forgive a grudge. Greet a doorman. Smile at a kid. Compliment a stranger and a million other things.
That little act can heal you. It can heal the world.
If you’ve made it here thank you for finding my brain dump worthy of your time.
