It gets better

Hey there,

How are you today? Hanging by a thread? Yeah, it’s that way sometimes.  In fact, someone out there might be holding a slimmer thread. I’m not trying to minimize your feelings,no, i just need you to see life beyond your agony.

We’ve all been on this pedal. Where life seems to have slowed down. The universe seems to be against you. Everything drifts apart. And you wonder if this is the end of the road for your sanity. If this is what destiny has conceded for you. You wonder if the pain and anguish you harbor in your heart will tear your heart into tiny bits of hurt.

You see, this storm and the rock it forms in your head, the chaos it brings to your heart, I can’t assure you that any of it will ever disappear, but then you have the power to control the sense that you make out of it. Gearing your thoughts towards optimism even when the world seems to be squeezing out the juice of your brain is a power move. Again, it’s tough but feasible.

Even in the heavy wave of the storm, you must decide if you come out as a better or worse version of yourself. Tough choice. I know. But those are the only options hanging. Pain either makes you good or bad. To yourself and to others.

The fact is, no one is coming. No one. Nobody is coming to help you nurse this heartache. You can find comfort in a friend or talk to a trusted family, but all they can do is give a warm shoulder. No one can help you carry the weight of this heartache. Realizing this makes you aware of how you are your own medicine at your lowest. So, how do you heal yourself from the blaze? Is there even an actual healing? Well, it depends on the meaning you attach to healing. If it means extinguishing the pain that you feel and taking your heart back to the way it felt before the anguish, then no, there’s no healing.

However, I believe that healing is living through the tough days with grace and maybe some strength.

Healing is allowing your heart to sink in the bitterness of the ache. But then you gradually pick it back from the rock button in new form and faith.

Healing is letting yourself wallow in the blazing flame of distress. The fire burns you, but then you walk out of the ashes with thicker skin and bravery.

Healing is allowing yourself to feel all the emotions that surround your pain, pour all the tears that your eyes hold, and take all the time you need to see light again.

Healing is accepting the storm. Embracing its chaos. Allowing the terrifying wind to shake and swirl you in difficult directions. But then, you find balance in the hope of a new day. A better day.

Healing means not giving up on yourself. Taking it easy, gentle. Taking care of your body and mind even when they don’t demand care.

Healing doesn’t eliminate your pain, no. Healing means you still feel the pain but as a better person. Yes, pain transitions you into a different person. A better person, if you take it with grace.

Healing rebirths you.

I don’t know if my wobbling makes any sense to you. But my point is, “This too shall pass.” You may not necessarily ever forget the pain or not feel the hurt, but as you evolve, you allow your mind to see the distress through a better lens. Wisdom, grace, and peace come into play.

The feelings might be eating you up now, but it gets better.

It really does.

It might not seem so to you now, but there’s light on the other side of the torment.

Your anguish might not feel seen or heard, but I assure you that it is valid, as little as you may think it to be.

Also, you must know that you’re not alone in this mental anguish. No. No. We all have a fair weight of distress wrapped around our hearts. Every heart has its own wounds or scars. Every heart is either sinking in one agony or reviving from another. Every heart seeks solace.

So, I would leave you with this today: practice kindness even in the sadness of mending your wounded heart because, who knows, the next person might be carrying a heavier load of agony. Be kind, be light to see light, and receive kindness.

As you smile through your pain today, I pray you find light to guide your path and ease the weight. I pray you attain balance. And I pray that it evolves you into the finest version of yourself.

Goodbye for now.

My thoughts are all over the place in this piece, but I hope that you grasp a thing or two.

As always, your likes and interactions are appreciated.
