Hi there,
How has life been? Maybe I should answer that first.
There have been a lot of tussles lately – some I won and others I learned from. Nonetheless, every tussle has shaped me into the purest version of myself. By pure, I mean calm, focused in my lane, relishing in sufficient self-validation and an abundant heap of unadulterated love and empathy to give out.
It took time. A lot of it. But now I can say that my state of mind ultimately revolves around peace and compassion. I am actively seeking things and people who feel like a “breath of fresh air.” You know how swift it is to draw in fine air and exhale it without even lifting a toe. Yes, that is the type of energy that attracts me lately.
The person I was a few years ago could swear that I would never attain this level of mental and emotional maturity, but here I am now not only able to control my thoughts and deliberate my actions, but my heart is constantly swollen with immense love and care for others.
This light didn’t just show up. No. This expedition took ample effort and prudence. It took pain, loss, and self-battle to reach here. Now that I am here – in the core of tranquility and empathy – I don’t want to ever leave. My soul now understands that this is what it was made for. Every aversion and hardness my soul used to embrace were pathways to reach this freedom.
The good news is that you, my reader, can attain this freedom, too. I’m not promising, but you can relish in this serenity if you seek it. However, you must understand that you can’t give peace to others if you’re not at peace with yourself. The first work starts within you. Inside you. You must identify and accept the diseases that reside in your heart. Anger, hate, sadness, jealousy, pride, and grief. Only then can you concoct ways to overcome them. That is the first big step to this freedom. Cleanse your heart of every bad blood.
From there, you must make a deliberate effort to select the energy you allow around you. Anything that can make the bad blood you emptied from your heart crawl back in must be avoided. Dissuade from things and even people that trigger unwanted emotions. You don’t harbor hate and contempt for such things and people, no, you only become more aware of their influence. By doing this, you grant yourself the power to appoint the time and attention you give them in order to shield yourself from going berserk. Yes, boundaries, that’s my point.
Anyway, this piece is about love and empathy, so let’s focus on that. I have reached a point in my life where I strongly believe that anything or anyone who crosses my path needs love. Even those things and people that come with a combustive energy. Moreover, it’s their combustion, not mine. Love is all I have inside me, and everything or person in my way is deserving of this calm love.
Calm. I love that I can associate myself with this word now. People even admire that in me now. That was a far-fetched possibility a few years ago. But I’m glad that my growth blossomed this way. The wind and rain that accompanied my growth steered and cleaned me so hard that it is now difficult for me to put into pieces who I was before this time.
Fact is, peace is gentle. It is yummy even. I like to compare peace to the ease, joy, and nutrients that come with eating a nicely baked salmon. You just cut a bite, feel relished that it’s coming to your mouth, it gets in, and the flavors and nutrients melt inside. Then you get a gush of happy waves and delight. Now, that is how peace works. When you embrace peace, you become at ease, and you relish the beauty of the world. Peace allows you to understand why people and things are the way that they are. Peace drives your heart to forgiveness. Peace helps you stay optimistic in your dark days. Peace breeds contentment. Ultimately, I now believe that the best solution in every chaos is peace! And I urge you to choose peace even when your ego says otherwise. Peace is a mighty force!
If there’s anything I want you to takeaway from this piece, it’s that you love things and people unconditionally. I have embraced that and assure you it brings bags and loads of peace. Don’t attach a reason or a limit to love. Love freely, wholy and purely. Give your love to the world and everything in it. It is worthy. Make love your power! Make love your strong weapon to conquer life. Make love your identity.
If you’ve reached this point, thank you for granting me your time.
Lastly, i pray that you find love and share love. I also hope that you find light, follow light and be light!
Kindly give me a like if this inspired you. Also, give me a like if it didn’t. 😉 I won’t know the difference anyway.
Comments are highly appreciated.
Bye, and I will be back with my words soon.
” WHEN LOVE FILLS THE SOUL, PEACE BECOMES ITS NATURAL LANGUAGE”
